The Innovation Center members celebrated this milestone with an opening ceremony that combined elements of Japanese tradition such as a sake-barrel breaking ceremony with a “Fuji Inside” concept utilizing Fuji Oil ingredients in a specially prepared plant-based menu.

Ltd CEO Tatsuji Omori, Japanese Ambassador to the Netherlands Mr Rokuichiro Michii, Director Investment Projects & Deputy Commissioner of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency Ms Lowri van der Linden, Ms Ingrid Hijman, Alderman of Wageningen City and Dr Gerda Feunekes, Managing director of Agrofood & Food Sciences Group Wageningen Food & Biobased Research (WUR) joined with Liz Kamei, Managing Director of Fuji Europe Africa and Head of the new Fuji Oil Global Innovation Center to break open the sake barrel and officially open the Innovation Center.
