Code of Conduct
We defined Three Principles of the Code of Conduct to clarify specific behaviors that all Group members are expected to follow to ensure that they act ethically and practice compliance. The basic values and spirit underlying these ethics and compliance have also been embedded in the Fuji Oil Group Management Philosophy established in November 2015.
Our Three Principles of the Code of Conduct
- Follow the rules.
Observe the laws and regulations applicable in the respective countries and regions.
Act according to the rules and procedures established by the company.
Follow social norms and live up to society’s expectations and trust.
- Act honestly.
Act on one’s own conscience.
Do not hide one’s mistakes or failures.
Give reports and explanations which are properly based on the facts, and in a timely manner.
- Act fairly.
Engage in fair and proper transactions.
Draw a line between public and private matters and do not commit any illegal conduct.
Respect the human rights of the people involved in business activities and consider racial, gender, and religious sensitivities.
Do not do anything that may lead to constraint, bribery, or any other form of corruption.
Do not allow any antisocial forces to intervene and disrupt the workplace.

Whistleblower Hotline
A Fuji Oil Group Whistleblower Hotline is in place. Moreover, we have outsourced a whistleblowing hotline to an outside law firm in order to ensure confidentiality and anonymity of informants by creating an environment that facilitates reporting.
As part of our efforts to promote fair transactions, a fair trade helpline operates as a whistleblowing contact point.
In the case of the following conduct or suspected conduct, a report should be made
through the International External Reporting Point:
- Bribery
- Cartelization and other violations of competition laws
- Child labor / forced labor
- Discrimination based on race, gender, etc.
- Leakage of classified information
- Embezzlement / abuse of trust
- Other compliance violations
D-Quest
D-Quest, the firm in charge of the International External Reporting Point focuses
on the management of internal hotlines and fraud investigations. This company was chosen primarily because of its multilingual capabilities, but also because of its partnerships with associations of accredited fraud investigators in various countries, as well as partnerships with law firms around the world.

Upon receipt of a whistleblowing report, we promptly investigate the details of the report, make necessary corrective measures, and provide feedback to the informant.
For fear of irresponsible reporting such as mischief or slander out of personal rancor, we request that the reporter enter his/her name when making a report to the International External Reporting Point. However, under no circumstances will the name entered be disclosed to the company to which the reporter belongs.
Even if the reported facts turned out to be untrue, the cost of the investigation will not be recovered from the reporter, unless there is malicious intent as in the case of a mischief or intentional false reporting out of personal rancor.
