ROL DESCRIPTION:

Fuji Oil Europe is a leading organization committed to maintaining the highest standards in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. As ESG Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with ESG guidelines and promoting a culture of corporate responsibility within our organization.

Your duties as ESG Compliance Officer will be as follows: 

  • Coordination of due diligence processes according to the requirements of EU legislation and group policies 
  • Coordination of sustainability reporting according to upcoming CSRD legislation
  • Supply data to Fuji Oil Holdings as input for the sustainability report (waste streams, energy efficiency, carbon footprint targets...)
  • Central point of contact for customers regarding sustainability of our activities and products 
  • Liaison for communication with external benchmark and membership platforms
  • Proactively follow up on developments regarding ESG regulations 

You will work closely with different departments both at the site in Ghent, and in other parts of the world (Osaka, Amsterdam, Ghana...). You will report directly to the Managing Director.
 

PROFILE:

What are we looking for in you as the ideal candidate for this position of ESG Compliance Officer? 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following areas: sustainability, environmental engineering, agriculture, food science or a similar field

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role in a food related industry 

  • In depth knowledge of international ESG guidelines, standards and frameworks 

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English 

  • Autonomous, but you are also a team player

  • You get energy from finding solutions to complex problems
